Ladies
Driving Challenge 2009 |

The
challenge is to drive a wide variety of weird and
wonderful vehicles! Each Ladies Driving Challenge
is unique, but at any given event you can look
forward to driving at least four or five different
types of vehicle. You'll be given expert tuition
throughout, ensuring you enjoy this special day to
the full. An exhilarating event is guaranteed for
all!
Each
participant will be given the chance to experience
driving a number of different vehicles, which may
include handling an HGV, testing the tough
off-road terrain by getting stuck in with a
digger, JCB or Caterpillar, sounding the siren on
a fire engine or even cruising in a combine
harvester!
The
event is open to any female member of the public
who holds a current driving licence. |

OctoberFest |

Hampshire’s
OctoberFest will be a celebration of Hampshire’s
finest Beer and Food producers. Based at The
Milestones Museum and adjacent parkland the
festival will showcase a large range of producers
selling great food, beers and cider, with a
European flavour brought to you by Basingstoke’s
twin towns. There will be an extensive programme
of demonstrations, exhibitions, craft workshops
and talks as well as live music and dance, street
entertainment, traditional games, competitions and
children’s activities.
A great family day out where you sample and buy
many of Hampshire’s finest beers and produce,
pick up a few cooking and brewing tips, as well
as, experiencing all the sights and sounds of a
traditional County Fayre. The event is organised
by Hampshire Museum and Galleries Trust and will
take place on the 17-18th October 2009.
